How it works
Facebook's Help Center says shipped Marketplace orders in the US pay a selling fee of 10% of the total transaction value, which includes the item price, shipping and applicable taxes, with a $0.80 minimum per order. The fee is deducted from your payout.
This calculator covers shipped orders that go through checkout. Meta's fee page doesn't cover cash or local pickup sales, so we don't estimate those.
The formula
- Total = item price + shipping charged + sales tax
- Selling fee = max(10% × total, $0.80)
- Profit = item price + shipping charged − selling fee − label − item cost − other costs
How to use this calculator
- Enter the price and any shipping you charge.
- Enter the sales tax rate on the order, if any.
- Enter your label and item costs.
Worked example: a $40 item with $8 shipping
- Total transaction value with no sales tax: $40 + $8 = $48.
- Selling fee: 10% × $48 = $4.80, which is above the $0.80 minimum.
- Payout: $48 − $4.80 = $43.20.
- With a $6 label and a $12 item cost, profit is about $43.20 − $6 − $12 = $25.20. Rough estimate, not a guarantee.
